Hey Guys,
I download and watch a lot of american TV show's to pass the time when i'm bored. I'm kinda running outta things to watch and was wondering if people could give me some feedback on what is good at the moment.
I don't really watch normal (UK) T.V so i don't know what is new, good, up-coming etc etc.
What i have watched and liked in the past is:
Dexter
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
Magic City
Maybe you could give me your opinions based on the above.
Waiting for your replies.
Regards,
Silentz

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually looking for more of a non-cartooney show like where real acting is going on. Although i do watch all those shows anyway.
And isn't Family Guy made from the same makers as American Dad?

I haven't watched television in five years, nor do I really follow any shows. I may occasionally tune in online to something that catches my attention, but infrequently.

Just a few links for you avid TV watchers, something for you to think about...

http://bodyodd.nbcnews.com/_news/2011/06/17/6851542-watching-jersey-shore-might-make-you-dumber-study-suggests?lite
To sum them up:
-It is possible to become physically addicted to television and even go through withdrawal symptoms
-Reality TV makes you dumber, literally
-When your watching TV, no matter how "academic" the show, your brain is no longer using the thinking portion but is instead stuck in the primal portion of your brain, the part that is "flight or fight" which one of the reasons people get such an adrenaline rush from watching horror movies, your primal brain honestly believes that what your watching is happening.
Personally, i very very very rarely watch TV. I do love movies, but I even try to keep that to a minimum. When I do watch TV shows though:
*Breaking Bad
*NCIS -for nostalgia, my mom loves this show so i used to watch it with her a lot
*MASH - same as above
*House MD - i know its always the same "wrong guess, wrong guess, nick of the time we got it!" format. but the characters and the side story on each episode cracks me the fuck up
*How I met your mother - just when i need to laugh and not pay attention to shit. my least favorite on the list though

Sons of Anarchy
My uncle plays in that series, but i've actually never watched it rofl.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead seem to show up on most lists. Think i'll try them.

How much reality TV shows do you watch? "Dumber" is not a word it would be "more dumb" lol. <3 ;)
-
I'm with Daemon on this one. I can't even remember the last time I watched TV. Besides the other stuff that Daemon mentioned, I couldn't find time to keep up with watching TV. Too busy.
