: ande February 26, 2013, 12:28:23 AM
Hello there Evilzone!

So, for some time now myself, a friend of mine and some of the staff here have been talking about EvilShop.

EvilShop will be a online "store" owned and operated by Evilzone staff. The full idea is not yet complete but here are a few ides that has been discussed.

And on top of this, we will have package deals like wifi packages and picklocking packages which can be anything from beginners package to a complete package with everything you need to get into wifi penetration and picklocking and [insert more cool stuff here].

And in addition to this we can offer Evilzone editions of various products we can customize in one way or another.

So! What this thread is all about is to see if there is a market for all of this. Its not like there are no stores like this on the internet. What we can offer is a serious store with products from all over the place centralized here. And Evilzone edition products in some cases.

Yes, definitely! Go for it!

Nice! Can't wait to see this rolling. You have my support.

It could be possible if you are just selling T-shirts and stickers. But for the other stuff, they can be acquired at local stores and on online shops,so I don't see the point of buying some hardware peripherals from an underground website. Unless you are selling them with a discount.

That is a great idea, i must say.

I can make hardware kits. If shit gets serious and we provide embedded platforms, I might make an embedded hacking OS, like backtrack for raspberryPi or something.

Yeah, but it will be Arch based instead of Debian.

Oh, guess I read it wrong
That would be cool though, I have two Raspberry Pi's I could do testing or whatever you need

Yeah, could use you to compile or something for the port. But this is getting off topic lol.

As for the shop, I think it is a great idea, but I don't think it will catch on. I do want some shirts and stickers though. Oh and coffee mugs, I want EZ coffee mugs =), then we should go from there.

Also, would proceedings go to EZ or just the admins? Or how would money be handled, I know this is kinda a prying question, just wanted to know where the money would go  :o .

I would buy if I need something, but the import duties are shit over here. Around 18% :(. Will need to find some way around.

although, i'd also say that you could allow users to sell stuff too from the store.
and, ez will have to be publicized a lot for you guys to stay afloat.
A new domain too, for obvious reasons.

We will start small and work our way upwards. Members can make product suggestions and so forth. This will be quite a large investment for me if we put up a hundred products on release date :P

As for the money: For sure some of the profits will go to EZ. I mean, I already pay about 120-150$ a month to keep it running smoothly, so just getting that covered would be awesome. If we profit good from it there will always be things to expand. Our own DNS server, challenge server(s), dedicated upload hosting server etc etc.

We can mark the packages as gifts OR just set the price of it to like 10$ :P

Ande, your t-shirt, tattoo, etc might get sold but i dont think anyone will bye hardwair from here, everyone will buy from trusted online stores(since these are expensive stuff) unless we do some major moderating to it(making it advanced) insted of just placing an EZ logo on top of it(besides they will think we keep logs of credit card passwords and stuff). So i think selling programs(non malicious) like pen testing tools, advanced drivers for avarag hardwair(to improve performance), and online services like, online rar, zip, pdf, etc password cracking and Even selling our own ebooks makes more sense than selling hardwair. So Ande, ill stay neutral and wait for more  info about this store.

I suggest we also allow the more trusted/well-known members sell their own products.

I've seen plenty of sites similar to this that sell hacking hardware and they seem to get good business. Though I do agree that selling software would be a bit more profitable, I think hardware is a must.

Make skiddy tools
Make uncrackable licensing system
Sell skiddy tools with unique license codes
?
?
Profit

I would love a shirt or hat or something for EZ, another suggestion (which may have already been suggested) is services. Pay a flat rate per file to get the crypted, or buy php shells. That being said, I believe HF does that too, and we all know how we feel about them. There are lots of options, but we not only have to look at profit vs production cost but also what reputation we get. No matter, I support it anyways :)

Very awesome idea. I agree with most people in regards to the hardware. It's most common for people to buy their hardware from shops they've bought from before / shops that are more well known.

On the other hand, you could treat hardware differently. People could sell their homebrewed hardware stuffies (that PwnPI that was mentioned before is a good example) and not only make some money off of their work, but maybe they will create the next big thing! Basically it would support hardware development for those that are interested in creating devices to assist in hacking.

While I agree that software SHOULD be free, but if somebody worked very hard to make a program for others to use, he should recieve some kind of compensation for his work.

@silenthunter: Dude, they were talking about fable. 'she' is used for 'fable' not 'techb'.

@ande: I have one question, and that is how'll you send your articles worldwide and does that cost according to the currency of the country or it'll cost as much as it cost in the EvilShop's country? I mean if it cost $500, will it cost $500 in all other countries or it'll cost according to their currency?

Prices will most likely be in Euro or USD. Whatever currency you convert that from, I don't care as long as the output to EvilShop is correct in EUR/USD. We will probably do like most shops, free shipping when you reach a certain amount. AKA whenever we cannot profit from you, you have to pay. That's just have it is I am afraid. We are not a big shop.
