If you're like me and like to have more than one computer around you (I have 4 laptops around me, on my L shaped desk), then this little app will make your life easier:

Synergy (http://synergy-foss.org/)

Synergy lets you easily share your mouse and keyboard between multiple computers on your desk, and it's Free and Open Source. Just move your mouse off the edge of one computer's screen on to another. You can even share all of your clipboards. All you need is a network connection. Synergy is cross-platform (works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux).

OMG this would be perfect for me!! I have 2 laptops and 3 desktops always running something or other around me. I absolutely love networking so I'm always finding things to network together, even if its just tearing apart my network and rebuilding it all. This would make things so much more convenient.

Synergy got updated today to version 1.4.11 featuring:
- Encryption (can't wait to test it);
- Portable version.

This is like fucking magic. When my windows is trying to connect to my arch, it's like bump bump plop in the other screen :D

LOL! I like to fire up wireshark and watch the enormous amount of packets it generates. Beware, every keystroke is sent in plain text if you don't use encryption (no shit, Sherlock!).

Yeah ive used it in the past, not really my thing but then again dont have a dedicated windows machine.

Yes, the only advantage is it being cross-platform. Had no knowledge about the x2x, seems nice. Going to give it a try, +1 for sharing.
