Today I learned a cool trick for SMF that I didn't know until now. And because it is a cool trick, I think it would be beneficial for everyone to know about it.
Apparently the IMG tag has properties like WIDTH and HEIGHT, so if you want to post a picture that is thousands of pixels wide and obviously doesn't fit on the board, you can post it like this:
[img width=N height=N]link here[/img]Where N is the number in pixels. Then you can click on an image to make it larger or smaller again.
To have the image scaled proportionally, only use "width".

how to know what a decent size is? my screen resolution might be bigger then yours so what's decent for me might not be for you...
I know I fixed my sign for my resolution when i got it...

This is pretty old, but thank you for pointing it out. I typically disregard it by default as most forum software has it disabled (I believe IPB has it on, though).

Well, alpha must be close, so I don't see the need to tweak things now. Just my 2 cents.
BTW, nice find Kulver. Time to review my posts and resize any picture I posted.
