Silk road is a union net hosted community. The whole principle behind those sites is that you can't get caught easily. You can boot up Tor and see it for yourself.
Tough i suggest to be careful and all :)

All the underground websites that you can find in the deep web (google that if you don't know) have certain security measures in place that prevent easy identification.

I can vouch for the security personally because a very close friend of mine has bough stuff from SilkRoad and he actually received it in the mail (albeit there were a few tricks involved, but alas I digress) a few weeks after the order. Payment was and is always done with BitCoins which means nobody can pin-point the transaction to a real person.

Also they don't get indexed by any search engines (naturally) and 99.9% of the people that access these kind of websites are either behind a VPN or in ToR or some crazy combo of the two.

Later edit: you can also buy guns too, but with the strictness of EU laws in regards to this we decided it's not worth the risk.

OP must be 12, and doesn't mean any actual bussiness.

This thread already has enough for you to get started.

Of course they exist, although that is a special URL you cannot enter in your ordinary Web Browser because it will not work. You would have to download a "Tor Browser" which allows anonymous browsing. They even have it for mobile phones. Silk Roads reputation is a large drug market, but also has other stuff such as "illegal books", "hacking devices", and a lot of other stuff. It is basically like eBay, but you can purchase things that you will not be able to purchase on eBay. They use to sell Guns too, but they took it off the market.

Also, the Tor Browser is just like using an ordinary web browser, but the only difference is you will come across a lot of different web sites which have there own purpose for doing illegal activities.
