I divide in my calculator:  sinus π/6
and I get:  -9.138395 x 10^-3
and the answer is just:  -1/2

I have to do a conversion I suppose first or what?

Your calculator is set in Degrees, you need to set it to Radians.
BTW, what's up with all the homework questions?

I blame it on lucid, he was giving the authority over this section, and this guy keeps posting his homeworks. I mean c'mon, this section should be used to discuss intelligent scientific matters, not solving homeworks.
