ok i think i say a link here about this very same problem but i can't seem to locate it.
Anyway vurtualbox has totally refused to install on kali even when i add the repositories at VirtualBox website and follow the instructions for debian word per word.
i tried to down load the .deb package and install manually but i tend to get this error then it quits
GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._pk_5ftransaction_5ferror.Code4: SimulateInstallFiles not supported by backend
even the dpkg didn't help. it ende telling me the was a problem with the installation.
any suggestions to this.

On the particular error I cannot say much usefull.
You could try to compile it from source.
Have you checked the dependencies?
