Hacking and Security / What's the best programing way to communicate with your botnet network ?

Hi, as i introduced myself, now i'd like to ask something:
as i said ive made a "trojan like" with C# few years ago, but id like to change the way i communicate with them in order to get the network bigger, so here how it works for the moment:
every 10 seconds, the botnet send an http request to a specific URL, with some parameters (a unique key, a password hashed etc...) then the XML returned may contain orders that the botnet will execute.
So if a smart ass noticed the process, or the http requests, that will drive him straight to the front door of my server, and my server is my identity right ? so that sux
although i've made a fake front page, in order to check out who's coming to knock, i get scared because ive been requested by bunch of anti-virus system, i even got once a screenshot of a freaky system that were analyzing my executable from a bulgarian IP, check out the attached file, that was few years ago, i've been freaked out.
also, when my botnet parc has grown (hundred computers), i've got DDOS my self for liltle, so i've been figuring out ways to get through that problem, but still
so today i'd really like to improve or program something new, but first of all i need to know what's the best way to give orders to botnet without to be easily found, and neither ddos.
