Operating System / [Linux] Applications you'd rather die than live without
« on: August 15, 2013, 02:10:47 am »
Well, if there's already one of these threads around, feel free to close this one -- I didn't find it, though I admit I didn't search. I just looked around for where I thought there'd be a stickied one.
Anyways, let's get on with it! As the title says, what applications would you recommend to others? You know those must-have applications your battlestation would never be complete without ... Like vim/emacs, or ... pong.
One I definitely can't live without, is Guake - a quake-like drop down terminal for Linux, which makes working with ... well, anything, so much more wonderful!
CherryTree is another great one -- keeping notes of even the smallest things has proven ever so useful over time.
