Oh not questioning that, afaik the Hacking Exposed books were some of the earliest comprehensive books on security. Absolutely great resources for beginners, but theres a reason I said old editions :P Some of the information gets outdated pretty quickly and outdated information in this world can be misleading.

I just can't help but laugh when someone comes in, act like they might know something, but then it be just wrong enough to screw someone over if they take it seriously. I was probably a bit harsher to him than needed to be, but hey I have my helpful moods and I have my laugh in yo face moods.

This is why I hate forums, you can't talk with some respect to someone you don't know ?

Ahahahahaha thanks for the laugh man, did you just step out of time portal from the late 90s? Half connections get easily logged these days. Might wanna actually get up to date before trying stuff after reading them in a old edition of Hacking Exposed
ok super genius, why don't tell us what does it mean "A half TCP connection" ? and why a firewall cares out and stores alllllll of "TCP SYN Flagged packets" in its database ?? (without a help of google :))

Further to it.. I once found a friend claiming to hack into one of the airport of America. Well it was index'd in google and was public. He posted it on FB saying Hacked into Blah Blah North base of AirPort. I got the ip and what I did is. I got AngryIP(Which is actually a IP Scanner) and commented saying Hacked the west base.. haha.. Scan the ip Range and get the private webcams which are not index'd on google.. ;) Hope It helps.

I don't courage you to use AngryIP, it keeps logs averywhere, otherwise nmap can scan all the range without keeping any thing using stealth mode (it uses a half connection to the target)
