Oh not questioning that, afaik the Hacking Exposed books were some of the earliest comprehensive books on security. Absolutely great resources for beginners, but theres a reason I said old editions Some of the information gets outdated pretty quickly and outdated information in this world can be misleading.
I just can't help but laugh when someone comes in, act like they might know something, but then it be just wrong enough to screw someone over if they take it seriously. I was probably a bit harsher to him than needed to be, but hey I have my helpful moods and I have my laugh in yo face moods.
Ahahahahaha thanks for the laugh man, did you just step out of time portal from the late 90s? Half connections get easily logged these days. Might wanna actually get up to date before trying stuff after reading them in a old edition of Hacking Exposedok super genius, why don't tell us what does it mean "A half TCP connection" ? and why a firewall cares out and stores alllllll of "TCP SYN Flagged packets" in its database ?? (without a help of google
