General discussion / Re: Which linux distro is better for beginners?
« on: March 23, 2015, 12:09:16 pm »
Depends what you're going for really, if you're wanting to have a huge learning curve then I'd suggest Arch.

If you're wanting something to use to replace Windows as a workplace I'd use Fedora. Then again it's all personal preference aswell, what I did when I first started using Linux was try as many distro's as possible and familiarise yourself with different types such as Gnome, KDE, Mate etc.. Then decide which you like best.

I could barely find any information on EZ about Freenet.

Why not?
I thought this video was pretty good.

Opinions? Maybe I'm missing something.

Meh, neither.. If I was hacking or doing something I shoudn't be doing I normally use a VPN then connect to the PROXY5 Server using the VPN. Whilst spoofing Mac address and tbh I'd say that's all you need to do.. However you need to make sure the VPN/Proxy5 server you use don't record logs. Either ask them via Support ticket or read through the terms and services and email them.

Tutorials / Re: Arch Linux Install Guide (Aug. 2014)

You missed the "pacman -S os-prober" command if people want to install Arch with Windows Dual-booted.

However, not sure if os-prober is fully functional with Windows 8 and above.. It's been a while since I used Arch so if someone could post an update on that, it might help more users.
