Game Hacking, Modding & Discussing / Re: Diablo 3

It hasn't come out yet...haha

Speaking of Blizzard games, I'm still patiently waiting for Starcraft II: HotS.  I have a bad feeling the same thing that happened with the Half-Life 2 episodes is going to happen to Starcraft though.  They're just never going to come out.

Who. The account holder (the person who pays for the internet conection) is the one who is legally responsible for any infringing file sharing occurring over that connection. You are not legally liable if you use someone else's internet connection, although they won't be very happy about it and may be able to come after you.

That's some bullllshit.

Tutorials / Re: Getting into the hacker mindset

Nice tutorial so far...as I know you want to add onto it, I think it would be useful to go a little bit more in depth. Like you say learn these languages, but how do I go about learning these languages. Should I read a book? What book? Should I look at code? Where do I find it? That kind of stuff...that's something I would like to see

Thanks!

Operating System / Re: backtrack os

you seem to be extremely lazy...you can't just have someone teach you the tools and be like alright i'm a hacker now!!! If I've learned anything it's that it takes years to become successful at any of this and if you're not going to be willing to put in the work then you might as well not even try.

That's an interesting idea, the identifier which you're talking about might be encrypted though for this very purpose so that might be something you'd have to deal with.

C - C++ / What makes C so great?

I've been programming in Java for years, and am now starting to push myself into learning other languages.  I've heard that C is a great language to learn because it helps you learn a lot about memory allocation and things, but I dunno if it's for me really.  I've taken an Operating Systems class(we used a little C to talk about fork() and exec()), so I feel like i know how memory management works for the most part.  Anyone have any insight on this?
