I feel like you could've gotten a better answer googling this but nonetheless it really depends, you can look at R language for data analysis and statistical data models, Haskell is also growing in use among mathematicians, Matlab, etc...

I think he made a question for the forum users opinions, don't flow with the shit of "go google" just because everyone else in the forum does. But like the google guy said, R is a good choice, it was made for statistical purposes.

Good website to learn programming, there's a section of R in there, and online labs for you to practice.

Beginner's Corner / Re: Enable wireless adapter using kali linux
« on: January 06, 2016, 06:42:48 pm »
Why do people pentest WiFi in a VM... Liveusb and no problems. VMs mess with teh WiFi cards

airmon-ng check kill
ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
ifconfig wlan0 up

Good wireless cards like the AWUS036NH already come pre-configured, only update the kali and plug into the the PC, then turn on in the VM, no problems at all. If you mean problems in the pentesting, never had any, talking from my own experience, if you know what you are doing, a problem is not something to worry about

« on: January 03, 2016, 03:52:48 pm »
apt-get update aircrack-ng

You are using kali 1.1 or 2.0? If is 1.1, did you update it? Maybe is something in your card, try a airmon-ng check kill, airmon-ng stop wlan0mon and then wlan0mon up again. If it doesn't work then maybe the problem is your wireless card that you still didn't told us which is

From here do a research by yourself, learn to understand things by yourself and not by others telling you.

Try this:

ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
ifconfig wlan0 up
airmon-ng start wlan0

airmon-ng check, and kill the processors that are interfering

If it don't work, try

ifconfig wlan0 down
macchanger -r wlan0
ifconfig wlan0 up
airmon-ng start wlan0

If this don't work too, fuck you and give us more info, bye mother fucker

Beginner's Corner / Problem with injection (AWUS036NH)
« on: December 26, 2015, 08:40:41 am »
Been having this problem lately in my last wi-fi cracking attemps, i have the RXQ, beacons, but no data, i check my injection test and the weird thing that sometimes it's says that injection its working, but two days till now it didn't show anything, checks 2 aps from close range and stops, don't show any significant info. Doing the standard procedure, airodump-ng to show de AP's, then i spoof with airodump-ng --bssid, wait a couple minutes to get enough beacons/data, meanwhile checking the wash for WPS, then i go for reaver/pixiewps, always worked well, but facing this problems lately.

Already tried changing MAC in case that it locked it and preventing me from injecting ivs. Using kali 2.0 with all updated tools.

Getting into the Network, and then work from there is the most common way. Heres a good tutorial about Wi-Fi hacking from one of the forum administrators: https://evilzone.org/high-quality-tutorials/wireless-auditing-with-kali-linux-aircrack-ng-reaver-and-pixiewps/

But i recommend that you study after you start to try to gain access to a computer, especially if you don't own him, since you are a beginner and shit. Entering into a machine leave trails, like log files, something that forenses can analyze and get you, being another subject that to be a hacker you MUST know.  I strongly recommend that you go to Cybrary and do all the courses and classes before even thinking about hacking. It is free and quite complete, you won't need help after that.

Operating System / Re: So I installed Arch
« on: December 21, 2015, 01:06:13 pm »
BlackArch isn't really much more than a big collection of tools. If you want to benefit from it, you will be better off installing and configuring Arch the way you like it and then just installing BlackArch on top of it. Don't really know what you mean with "repositories were all fuck", you have 13K+ packages and they are generally well documented, what else could you want? Installing can be a pain if you are used to GUI installers, but if you stick to Beginners' guide it is quite easy and straightforward.

It seems a useful plataform, but the last time i saw, BlackArch was outdated, some people told me that he was substituted by ArchAssault, that seems to be lighter and more operative. About the repository, it seems to be relocated to another server, i always used backtrack and kali, so i really didn't tried.
