Hardware / Re: Long range parabolic dish antenna project!
« on: October 30, 2014, 03:42:25 pm »
It had been my dilemma ever since, I always wanted to extend my range and yet I don't want my rooftop to look peculiar/suspicious hmm. :-[

May I ask how you guys solve this problem?
I'm using an old alfa (awus036h) with a directional yagi antenna on a tripod. The antenna is located at a window with the blinds closed, so no suspicious structures visible from the outside. Also and IMO, parabolic dishes on rooftops are not suspicious, since most buildings have them.

General discussion / Been away
« on: January 23, 2014, 10:23:59 pm »
Hey guys! I've been kind of away for a while, some shit happened in my life and I don't have as much time as I would like to check the forums (or to moderate, update the index, IRC, etc...). Nothing to worry about, just life as it is. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive, and I'll get back into my normal routine once I get this shit straighten out.

Hope to be back soon.
Cheers!

In my country, someone developed a way to convince people to save bottle caps. For each ton of bottle caps we could gather, an institution would offer a wheelchair to people in need. So it is kinda usual (not usual enough IMO) to enter a bar/market/whatever and have a 5L water bottle half full of bottle caps. Maybe if this initiative was reproduced worldwide it would make some difference.

I've used this in the past, had it laying around on my backup drive. It can be useful to automatically perform repetitive tasks on your computer. It allows you to record your keyboard and mouse for later replaying, or to build a script by inserting mouse clicks/key presses, editing timings, etc... The interface is really easy, no need to have programming background in order to use it (yes, skiddie type of tool :P).

The interface:

Found it on the Webs / Re: Imacros. Firefox plugin.

Sorry about the revival of this thread (well, it's not that old anyway). I've been using the standalone version (it's basically a GUI that makes use of IE) and I love it. The reason I'm using the standalone version is because I needed mouse/keys interaction with flash elements, and this version has the DS (direct screen) command that simulates mouse clicks/movements or key presses on the screen.
