Multiple people above have failed to understand that we are talking about software and/or computer-related hardware. But I see the fun..

I will also point out that only (mostly) offensive tools have been listed, so I guess I will do more or less the same.

I honestly don't use a whole lot of tools that I believe classifies as "hacking / security tools". However I will try to make a short list. Making an uncategorised list was a bit hard so a few tools are put together.

1. Putty / Generic SSH client
- Obviously used mostly for administration. However SSH tunneling is essential.

2. Wireshark / Burp Suite / Tamper data / Live HTTP Headers
- Viewing, filtering, manipulating and injecting data into various systems and protocols

3. Nmap
- Port discovery and more

4. OllyDbg / IDA
- Disassembly, modification and analysis

5. Notepad++
- Not really a hacking and/or security tool. But is essential for creating, viewing, adding, removing and modifying data in any size and/or structure
if($statement) { unless(!$statement) { // Very sure } }

Well, in my defense, you do need fingers and knowledge to use a computer. As for the soldering iron, I don't think hacking should be limited to computer software. But TBH I was running out of ideas and needed some fillers.  :P

hmmm not sure i could list 10, despite having who knows how many tucked away...

incase you missed my thread with the exe, #1 goes too....

#1-goolag. just fucking love this prog RIP cDc
#2-nmap. havnt used it in years but its such a great program, deserves hall of fame
#3-netstumbler. so damn useful
#4-alcohol 120. havent done any workarounds/program cracking in a bit, but when i was this tool was just invaluable.
#5-daemon tools- same with alch 120 except that their forums(at least used to) be really good at talking about processes/work arounds for the latest and greatest in trying to stop us from playing our game from an iso! :P
#6-10. Again just to many to list, the vast majority of these would be more for information purposes anyway.
The internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Ahh, EvilZone.  Where networking certification meets avian fecal matter & all is explained, for better or worse.
