Fascinating, I didn't know it was still active. Is it a new version of the virus or what

Not surprised it's still active, but why does it attacking russian power plants? one can only speculate... was it a targeted attack? was this an act of random spreading?
It'd be interesting to follow this story and see what would be the outcome... maybe even, god forbid, Chernobyl all over again?

From what I've collected, yes this was a targeted attack and Stuxnet is very active in the wild. Stuxnet is actively deployed via USB drives. This is the infection/attack vector. Perhaps this Stuxnet was planted before the Iran attack?

Either way, this was a purposeful plant. Stuxnet doesn't spread like normal malware, it is targeted. Interesting. -GD

Actually, Stuxnet spreads through USB like a worm. But if it doesn't detect a viable system to attack it deletes itself and all configuration files.
