So I got a motorcycle
« on: March 05, 2014, 04:53:53 am »
I dunno if there is anyone on here that's into motorcycles, but here's my story.

I told my fiance (whom I'm marrying towards the end of this month) that I wanted a motorcycle. I commute a lot to work, we have a baby and one car. I used my social engineering skills to convince her that we needed to get one as it's the only vehicle we could afford at the moment and since I'm going to the police academy for the department of Corrections soon I did not want her to be stranded without a car. Utilizing this leverage I got an ok out of her knowing that once I got her there I would be leaving with a motorcycle. I went looking around and found 2 bikes in which I wanted, one a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 636 RX6 ($11,999) and a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 ($7,499) I knew full well that the salesmen would push for me to get the bike and worked with the price. My poor fiance was blind sided, I got my bike. I ended up getting the Kawasaki Ninja 650 with $0 down, 7.2% APR and $190 monthly payments. But that wasn't the hard part. The hard part was getting my grandmother to consign. She doesn't like cosigning for anything as my dad fucked her and she ended up paying his student loan. Well I was able to get her to the dealership and again let the salesmen work their magic. (I must admit that salesmen are great social engineers) I played my part and gave her the sob story utilizing my daughter and one car she eventually gave in and cosigned for my bike. Now I also needed to get a jacket, gloves and a helmet which they offered my store credit with Kawasaki to get my gear. At the end of February I got my permit and in April I will be taking a safe riders course which will waive my skills test with the dmv as well as lower insurance premiums so I will have my license. Needless to say I've been super excited to be riding my bike. But my excitement grew today when I got the card from Kawasaki for the store credit and learned that they approved me for a $14000 credit line. Shit I could buy a second bike with that lmfao.

Anyways I wanted to share my little story with you guys. Anyone else here ride motorcycles or want to get one?

I want to get a Ducati Streetfighter but my family would disown me. But because of the price if I bought a bike I would most likely buy a Kawasaki. :)
Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.
