Hello there Evilzone members. I was wondering does any of you make your own food? I recently started learning more about it and made myself mushrooms. it was good, but I tend to practice more. So, do you guys make food and if you do, what do you prepare? You can also post image of food you have made. I will do so later when I reach PC. What would you also suggest me to make as novice in field of cooking. It can be with meat, but please tell me if you know any vegetarian food.

I make pizza crackers. I lay crackers onto a plate, cover it with whatever topping I like and put it into the microwave for a minute. It tastes awesome. And, that's what I know how to make :P

Oh yes. I never prepared that food, but my father did. It's tasty, quite tasty to be honest. I might learn to prepare that, one day of course. For now, I will go with potato. xD

I cook every weekend and I bake cakes often (my favourite is Russian chocolate cheesecake: link). I have no pictures, though, I never photograph (but I could do the next time I cook something).
A good vegan meal I like to create is ratatouille. Vegetarian and simple meals I do often:
  • Jacket potatoes with curd, onions and linseed oil
  • potatoe casserole
  • pasta with cheese sauce
  • coconut-tomato soup
  • vegetable soup with noodles
I like to have both: Meals with and without meat. I don't feel like eating meat all the time.

It's funny how food is named sometimes ^^. No one knows the recipe for the so-called "russian" cake in Russia. Anyway, it just tastes great. Maybe a bit too much fat in the recipe I know. Anyway: food is awesome, just not the food I make (it's basically meat, potatoes and vegetables thrown together). Something truly awesome are steaks... those are the love of my life. and again, they are quite expensive, so I can't afford to eat them on a regular basis. My parents cook different stuff anyway, mostly a mix of russian, italian (pasta) and family recipes.

EDIT: Where are my sentence-building skills?

First of all. Thank you for video. I will try my best to make such food. Also, today I tried to make dough (hope that's the word) for pizza. I have 0 exp related to making such food but I followed some online guide and this is what I got:

I don't know if it's good, waiting my parents to confirm if it's worth using for food. xD

hm... looks like it's possible to eat that ^^. did you use barm to make it? (that's how I make pizza most of the time, tastes quite good). At least if you do, it is possible to make something like bread with contents, or "пироги" as you'd call it in russian. My favourites are the ones with bacon & cabbage or eggs & leek.

On a sidenote: "пироги" is the plural.

Yes sir, I did used barm. I think it's essencial for making this xD . And i don't know what " пироги " is. I can read it, since it's cyrilic. xD

here you go with an explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirog
About the need of barm... as you can see from my firt reply, I'm definitely not a cook.

As far as cooking shows go ive always loved Good Eats, he describes the scientific processes going on within the food itself, which gives i feel a much easier to follow guide to what to look for when trying to cook something new. As for cooking itself here in a few hours ill be making tacos, which is rather simple, but tasty.
