Who uses Tor here? What's you favorite forum on Tor browser? ( A lot say, Intel Exchange...)
Why do some people think, one is weird for using Tor?
I was on IRC chat on Linux's official chat rooms... (Hex Chat)
They think, I'm an alien for stating I use Tor....  (Some ops in Linux's official chat rooms, are totall ass holes.) ( you get banned for swearing.. Though they're such hypocrites themselves, they respond like," Hey ass-hole you just got kicked out!"...

Uhh this seems more like a general discussion type thing. You're not really asking anything of a technical nature.

Also those font colors and sizes are god awfully ugly, stop it.

I've used TOR before.
I think your looked at like a "Alien"  because ToR is used by people trying to hide there browsing activity
(Which usually means , 'They are involved in some bad shit' ..Peado's, Hitmen, Drugs...etc.
I only ever came across 'nasty sites'.
If you know some good (Nice) sites post the address's here..

There are some good nice sites, but to be frank most of them are boring or outdated blogs. Then you have the weird shit. Not like illegal bad stuff, just....weird. Sites containing nothing but garbled text, fake medical diaries about experimentation, and stuff that makes you just scratch your head. Some of the libraries you can find are neat though. Most of the content can be found on the surface web, but then you get stuff like how-to manuals on selecting victims for cannabalism. A lot of people like to say the deep web is over-hyped and to an extent they are correct,  but mostly they just really aren't keeping their eyes open.

As for links? Keep your eyes peeled ;)

or maybe its been forever and I forgot the links

Though, I never intended to use Tor, to go see the nasty  illegal shit .. Or buy drugs or what not.... I just wanted to browse the internet, anonymously... And be "rebellious", Since the government loves looking at our browsing history, maybe in the near future they will use it against us. ( Or I am just paranoid)
I'm not someone by any means, important, or anything. Neither do I know how to "hack".. I just want to learn programming, reverse engineering... I'm 17,and maybe I just don't know what I'm doing, but if others can do programming, why can't I?
I'm,like, learning html and css at the moment... ( want to do the web dev stuff  then scripting languages and then maybe go on them project forums..)  ( Big dreams for a small person...)  I don't know....

I actively use Tor and advocate for Tor and assist the core members in developing and maintaining the code through my operation of a few high-capacity Tor relays.

I'm even younger than you OP and I feel that it is my right to have privacy and anonymity on the Internet. When an organisation such as a government attempts to take those rights away by undermining and breaking the laws set in place to deter such acts, it's hard to just sit back and watch it happen. Programs like PRISM and xKEYSCORE, revealed to the world by Edward Snowden, really brought into light the real problems, and now, the real solutions. The real solution is Tor and associated cryptographic protocols.

I haven't really found a board run as a hidden service that I like so much, but the Intel Exchange is indeed interesting.

I have been doing research on Tor as of late.

Overall it is certainly leaps and bounds above browsing using a normal browser. But that being said the NSA is finding ways to help figure out who is using it and how to target specific users. Primarily by using statistical analysis and malware. They are also probably running a few exit nodes of their own.

Certainly better than everything being sucked up PRISM style and scanned through. But by no means completely anonymous.

Wow. I'm late to this party. This ^ is wrong. And it's "Tor". The good Tor provides isn't documented because THAT WOULD DEFEAT THE PURPOSE. You don't hear about the Azeri journalist who sent the details of her investigations via The Onion Router. The shit you see on the Hidden Wiki is just that. And I hate to break it to you, but the "real" Internet is just as poisoned as the "deep web" is (good god I hate that f**king word).

The problem with tor - and i think most people recognize this now - the exit nodes are in a position of trust. Do you know/trust the exit nodes? They may not know where exactly the request originated - but they can record any traffic that has an unencrypted end point (as in, not using https). im sure they can also do other shit with the encrypted traffic that may leak useful information but you know the government... theyll find a way.

There is no "trust" in Tor. That's the point. And don't give too much power and mysticism  to the "enemy". Anyone can jack up Tor. Read. Learn.

Yes, but it still makes it harder for an average hacker, or a organization for finding you, and if you use a VPN, and be smart, you should anonymous.

Against corporations and the average hacker, yes i would say that Tor still works.

However the feds took down the largest hosting provider on Tor which was like 60-80% of Tor... if i was them i would have started up several Tor hosting services. So for the OP's objective of staying hidden from big brother Tor is completely ineffective.

Freedom Hosting held so much of the darknet at the time? Holy shit, imagine the shit they could get their hands on. Anyways, I wouldn't want more hosting providers on Tor because it usually involves criminal activity, but I understand the freedom aspect of it thought.
