Power Supply Problem
« on: December 17, 2014, 10:32:34 pm »
I know this is a random question, but was hoping someone could help me out real quick because I am not good with hardware. I just built my computer ( like less than 12 hours ago) and as I am using it I find that my power supply is really loud. It isn't a constant noise though, it is all over the place. I mean I just got it, a few days ago when it came in the mail. Is it worth returning? Is it a setting I should change to make it a little less spastic?

Good ratings. It could be that your system is a bit more than the cx500's comfort zone.

That being said some of the negative comments on newegg pointed to that same issue so I would consider returning it

ugh, I don't think I can handle this. I need to try to find a new one in the same price range. If y'all have any suggestions let me know. I want something quiet. This race car by my feet must leave. Thank you for the feedback also

I am like 90% sure it is the fan in the power supply. Then again I am not great with hardware and I may have put it together poorly.  I will play around with it a little in the morning and if I am certain it isn't the case rattling I will just return the power supply. Seems like the best idea. Will just suck not having my computer for a while :(
