Being omnivore just tells the capability to digest certain food, it is a biological thing. It does not mean that you actually use that capability.
E,g, human meat-only eaters are no carnivores just because they have the same diet as carnivores.
What I observed: A lot of people who are no vegans or vegetarians have a less varied diet than vegans, because they are not aware of the possibilities or just out of habit. Eating meat and plants does not mean it is varied if you eat the same all the time.

I agree, but I still stand by my original argument. Since an omnivore has the capability to digest a wider spectrum of food this affects a higher potential of variance in a given diet intrinsically. I'm not saying that an herbivore's/carnivore's diet is not varied, only less varied.

I try to keep a balanced diet, but lately i've been focusing on eating a lot more than usual, as i'm trying to build muscle after deciding to go to gym. I eat a lot of calorie and protein high foods like milk, eggs, meat, oats etc ... it's been hard but I feel like my stomach is definitely expanding and it gets easier to eat more day by day. I would also agree that an omnivore's diet, is, by definition, more varied.

I don't have any diet. There is no structure and I do little to no planning when I should eat.

I wake up and skip breakfast. I regularly buy multipacks of coke and crisps. I either eat them all within the hour or never eat them and leave them scattered across my room, only to then be eaten by others.

The multipacks of coke are either all drank without a single break or are spat all over the street in a pig-like disrespectful manner.

I take random trips to subway (3 trips today) and order a spicy Italian with Jalapeños and spicy sauce. I usually never finish the sub, but it's great because I get unlimited refills of soda.

I go into my local kebab shop. The staff there know I'm "a computer guy" since my brother used to work there. They go "Computer!, Computer!" and point at the computer. I try and fix whatever has messed up (usually unplugged keyboard or credit-card reader not plugged into the router) and they give me literally anything I want on the menu. I usually take the absolute piss and get an entire wrap of Donner meat and 10 hot wings with large chips, along with 2ltr bottle of coke.

On the odd occasion, I surprise my stomach with a banana or apple.

I made vegan pancakes today and they turn out to be very delicious.

One thing that I find weird is people thinking that vegan != varied.
Since I started cooking an preparing vegan meals, I realized how much variation there actually is. I eat more varied now than I did before I reduced animal products (even if I do not count the meals containing animal products).

PS: I would love to exchange awesome and easy made recipies. So if you have some, share them.

From where i come from being a vegetarian is a sign of weakness or feminism basically i would be laughed at for even thinking of it. I guess culture does influence what you eat.......  :-\

I don't know anyone who has a worse diet than me. I have a fear of trying new foods (it's really bad, I once got offered a hundred euros to try something and ended up staring at it for around an hour before finally bailing out) and all I eat is junkfood. This is literally the list of the only foods I eat:

Hotdogs, burgers, pizza, pasta with butter, snacks (God damn do I love snacks)

There are probably a few more but they don't come to mind at the moment. Each day my diet shifts between the foods mentioned above (while eating snacks throughout). Surprisingly (to my friends' discontent), I'm actually quite healthy and in shape. I guess growing up only eating these foods my body didn't know any better.

As far as veganism goes I'm totally cool if you're a vegan and I think in the end you're doing the right thing; just don't preach to me about it. Vegans tend to think they're better than others because of the way they eat so they always bring it up (in my experience).

How do you know if someone's a vegan?
Don't worry they'll fucking tell you

I run on coffee, tea, noodles and the occasional sea food meal.

This speaks to me on a spiritual level.

I try to eat 3 meals a day to keep the metabolism boiling, going or however you want to word it. The meals are small though, and usually no more than large snacks compared to most of my friends. I also eat snacks between meals.

Breakfast = 2+ eggs, over hard plus coffee
brunch snack = nuts, fruit, more coffee
lunch = varies but can range from a sandwich to a bowl of noodles to who knows what, as well with either more coffee, water or tea
end of work day/post workout snack = nuts, chicken, lots of protein
dinner = hell if I know until it's there
after dinner munch time = chips, maybe some more nuts

This is slightly average with days here and there where I ignore it and eat only one meal for the whole day. I avoid wheat like the plague cause it makes me sick but usually I love just about any food infront of me. Vegan food looks interesting, I'd be willing to try it if it was made for me but it's not the diet for me.... avoiding wheat is hard enough.

My diet is a bit different from most 'normal' peoples'. I suddenly got the urge to cut (only 2,5 months too early) so I'm currently being a bitch about my diet.

Breakfast:
    1. Oatmeal
    2. Eggs and rye bread (super awesome bread with a shitload of fibers)

Pre-workout:
    - Pre-workout shake + fruit.
Note: this is about 1-2 hours after my breakfast, I therefore don't need anything special here.

Post-workout:
    - Skyr (super yoghurt from Iceland with a crazy ass content of proteins and really low on fat at the same time), a can of tuna, 10-12 almonds and two slices of rye bread.

Dinner:
    - This meal differs a lot. Usually some sort of chicken cooked with rice/noodles and some broccoli.

Besides this I drink a shitload of water and eat almonds during the day, if I feel the urge for candy and such.

Eat everything, but  eat healthily.  As a student, meat is expensive in comparison to veggie foods.  Main difference is that i eat dinner at lunch time, and lunch at dinner time.

Todays food log:

Breakfast:
Cornflakes with Soya Milk
Handful of grapes
Banana

"Lunch Time":
Mushroom Stir fry with added peppers, onion and tomato's
Pure Orange Juice

"Dinner Time":
Apple + Some biscuits
Chicken and lettuce Sandwich

Snack on dry (unsalted) crackers and gingernut biscuits
And drink a good bit of water each day.

Every now and then i have another bowl of corn flakes as supper, depending on how i feel.  I am in love with cereal.

Apparently the Japanese have the best metabolism's (and i assume from that, best diets)

You should try rice milk and coconut milk they are delicious alternatives for normal milk. I haven't drank milk in years and I used to drink it by the crate :P.

About my food it depends, when I'm with friends I eat fast food and fries and stuff. I try to eat the least amount of industrial junk possible though. And I make shure my breakfast is healthy (oatmeal, muesli,.. ) I never drink any soda or eat high sugar products anymore(maybe on a special occasion I will). I used to love it but it's poison man

1. I eat most food, although there are quite a number of veggies I tend to stay away from
2. I eat what I want when I want, don't really care about much else
3. It's not for me but if someone wants to be vegan then go ahead, except for when people do it to be a hipster or because their friends are doing it. If personal experience is the deciding factor and your own beliefs and ethics, do what you want.
4. I had Wendy's, Jr. Bacon cheeseburger, value fries and a small frosty.

If you enjoy eating meat then eat it, if you don't then don't. Remember your time in life is limited and no matter how old you are there's always a chance you won't be here tomorrow. So you might as well do what you enjoy, you can be 100% vegan, active and fit, its not going to stop the drunk guy slamming into you head on going 100mph killing you and every passenger in your car and the drunk driver walking away.

That's my opinion anyways

Taco bell Burritos. Matter in fact here is a break down of my three day diet. Had to keep track of my food intake for three days for a class:
My day one intake was about 3000 calories with a allowance of 2800. Only really bad part of my diet was the increase amounts of sodium, and not enough protein, milk and no fruits.

Three Day Food Journal

Day 1:
    ·         2 Pop Tarts (Toasted)
    ·         22 oz. Dr. Pepper
    ·         3 Taco Bell Burritos worth 300-400 Calories ea.
    ·         Spaghetti with Ground chicken 4 cups
       o   Canned Spaghetti Sauce
       o   Lean ground Chicken
       o   Whole Wheat noodles
Day 2:
     ·         22 oz. Dr. Pepper
     ·         3 Taco Bell Burritos worth 300-400 Calories ea.
     ·         1 Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Slider 200-300 Calories ea.
     ·         22 oz. Grape Soda
     ·         Noodle Salad 4 cups
        o   Whole wheat noodles (Boiled)
o   Bottle of thousand island dressing
        o   Chopped sautéed Bell Peppers
        o   Olives
Day 3:
     ·         22 oz. Sprite
     ·         3 Taco Bell Burritos worth 300-400 Calories ea.
     ·         2 Spaghetti Burritos
o   Left over Spaghetti (Day 1) 2 cup ea.
        o   Tortilla Shells (grilled)

We have here people all around the world from different backgrounds, believes, cultures. My questions to you are:

  • Are you vegan, vegetarian, meat-eater, fish-eater, raw food eater, fast food eater, etc?
  • Why do you eat the way you do?
  • What is your opinion about veganism?
  • What was your last meal?

Are you vegan, vegetarian, meat-eater, fish-eater, raw food eater, fast food eater, etc?
I eat anything that doesn't eat me first.

Why do you eat the way you do?
Because I grew up on Potluck and Ramen. I'm not picky, I take what I can get and I eat it until I get full.

What is your opinion about veganism?
How dafuq do you have energy? What about Steak?! Whats wrong with Steak?! TELL ME WTF IS WRONG WITH STEAK?!

What was your last meal?
Some random fish that the cooks thawed out early in the day, which had probably been frozen for atleast 3 months. Super seasoned with salt and other herbs and spices to give it some flavor. Mac-n-cheese that was actually the best part of the meal, it was warm, which was more than I could say for the rest of the meal. White Rice (Almost sticky rice) with no flavor, no soy sauce, and no hot sauce, was completely bland. (Perks of food where I work, lol, also no pics because where I work they won't allow USB Devices to be plugged into the computer)
Life is like a game, learn it, play it, exploit it...hack it.
