HP ProCurveManager+ (PCM+) v4
« on: February 04, 2015, 10:08:05 am »
So HP and the re-seller have fucked us (The company I work for) with this software (Not going into details but they basically sold us the 50 licence but listed as 100 and then decided to not refund, thus its being taken to Trading Standards.)

The point I'm trying to get to, does anyone know a crack for this software? Or does anyone know a method of cracking this software?

Thanks in advance.

I don't see any sort of download or anything to check it out. You got some binaries from your company's deal? Although gotta be careful, sometime companies will sign a binary with a key tied to a customer(or some variant of such) so that any software found in the wild can be found back to its source. Hex-rays does this for IDA(though they fully acknowledge it can and has been bypassed, they just aint gunna make it easy though).

So off the top of my head and with no searching, I say no, but Im fairly confident a few members could pull it off. I might be able to myself, but I wouldn't know if its over my head without looking at a binary.

There is no Link on that page, you're not blind ;)

Here you go, thanks btw,

No problem, but no promises either.

Wound up downloading the 32bit version instead. A lot of oldie but goodie and reliable tools don't play friendly with 64bit. So it simply saves time and energy messing with a 32bit version. Just as a heads up in case I do make good headway.

No need to put any work into this.

If you need any help with setting up HP Networking devices or something related to PCM / IDM / NMM drop me a message. I could also offer to check your configurations if you want me to. Just let me know :)

Well the reseller apparently already fucked him, why not doubley fuck him?

Eh well, if his company still needs it, he still needs it. Could all be a ploy to get his hands on a good copy that he can play around with cause some target is using it, but didn't want to sound like an annoying skid asking about it. If thats the case I for one appreciate the effort in coming up with a story, and sometimes reversing dated software can be fun :P

I already know its Outdated, we spoke to HP as we purchased it before the date it was 'Taken off the shelves' (we recently purchased Licences) Which are still for sale until July... that is what the whole issue is about we were sold 50 licences when there were 100 listed, hence the trading standards...
