Anonymity from clean IP
« on: August 01, 2015, 06:22:25 am »
Hey, i'm nice to be part of your forum.

I have a question for you:

Can we be anonimous (VPN, Proxy, Tor, ecc..) resulting connected from a clean ip?

For "clean" ip i would mean an ip that is not marked as an anonymous one by a lot of sites and services like all the web mails, a lot of forums, all the payment systems, a lot of social networks, ecc...

The Tor nodes are ever identified for all of this sites, something better if i use a VPN without Tor, but it's not ever the right choice, do you have some ideas?

I'm sorry for the bad english, i hope you're understanding me.

Have a nice day, thank you! ;)

Yeah.. pretty much all the tor nodes are marked as spam or w/e (risky as fuck to log into anything through tor as well so dont do that).

But there are still proxies that are "clean" and new ones pop up all the time so you could google yourself to that.
 If you want one that is clean and will stay clean you should rent a server somewhere and host it yourself. That way you get the servers ip and only you have access to it.

Thanks for your reply Satori... ;) so you're advising me to buy a server and set it up as a vpn server. It sound good but i think i will not feel privacy protected, only a vpn server between this ip and my real ip.

Do you thin can i do the same but setting it up as a proxy server? So i can buy a premium VPN service, i use tor on this vpn connection and i use this proxy over the VPN + Tor connection, do you think is it possible having a good speed connection? i've tried with a lot of proxy servers we can find over the web but they're really really really slow (no slow metters with VPN+Tor without addictional proxy). Do you think it can be faster with a dedicated proxy?

Another thing, i thing is a good thing if i can change this ip everytime i want, do you think is it possible with this solution?

Thanks and i'm sorry if i'm asking stupid questions, thank you!

Possible solution, if I understood right  you want;  you->vps->vpn->tor:

Connect your VPS with ssh's "-D" option to make it act as proxy:
Code: [Select]
ssh -D 5555 your.vps.com
Then (still on your local machine):
Code: [Select]
openvpn --config vpn_service.config --http-proxy 127.0.0.1 5555
Then connect to tor..

If I didn't have any memory blackouts I think that setting might work, but I have not tested that kind of setup so I'm not sure.

edit: re-thought what I posted and thought about openvpn option "http-proxy", like I said haven't tried it myself and too lazy to google for you so not sure if it can handle socks proxy which "ssh -D" creates, but then other option might be to make your vps as http-proxy and then acces it through with ssh's "-L" option.

i'm sorry, i know, i have a bad english :( i would mean it:

Me -> PremiumVPN -> Tor -> VPS_Proxy

(For VPS_Proxy i would mean a VPS setted up as a proxy server and tor proxyes setted pointing on this proxy server)

My goal is to have a public clean ip, so i need to use the vps as last ring of the chain.

Can this Proxy created on a vps can be fast? (a lot better then the other ones we can find over the proxy lists)

If you think so i'll spend some time and money to try it and verify it.

Thank you so much!!! :)

Well sorry, but this is just stupid thinking with bought vps.. Thing to remember is that if you buy one with your real info and/or with trackable payment option it doesn't provide any anonymity compared to your own ip. Vps is most likely assigned with static ip that can be directly linked in your given information. And even if you bought one somehow "anonymously"  it's still closer link to you than vpn service or tor as last "exit point".  Generally speking vps service providers goal isn't to provide anonymity to it users unlike vpn service providers.

There most probably is also some vps providers that has same kind of privacy policy regarding customers identities as good vpn, but then you should keep mind to look that kind of service provider if you want that clean ip+anonymity.

About, that proxy speed, of course your vps as private proxy shoukd be faster than some puplic one that is used by X-number of clients.

Just to sum it up. Your anonymity level in this case mostly depends on your service provider(s) and the fact that do you trust them to protect your privacy. I don't  know what you are exactly trying to achieve with this "clean" ip, but if you are more concerned about basic anonymity stuff, then in my opinion you should forget that vps and just concentrate on getting good vpn service. Or buy some good proxies  e.g.  from private internet acces(PIA)+ some other places and use proxychains(you can mix tor in there also).

Really thanks Gray... i'm going to understand more.

Of corse if i buy something like this i don't buy them with my real id or my real payment methods and there's nothing linked to my real id, but thinking about it, you're saying the true... why use a vps that don't protect your anonimousity when you can take advantage of it inserting another security layer and spending less time? i think your suggestion about buying some preminum proxyies and use them with proxychain is a good one. Really really thanks for this suggestion!

About the vpn i probably got it, i'm using a hide.me premium vpn is it a good service? What about his anonimity protection?

So the final situation will be this one isn't it?

MyIP -> VPN -> Proxy1 -> Proxy2 -> Proxy3

is it right? can i sleep calm with this configuration or the better way is ever to connect from another wifi having this?

OtherWifiIP  -> VPN -> Proxy1 -> Proxy2 -> Proxy3

I'm sorry but on the "PIA" website i can only find how to buy a VPN, nothing to buy some proxyes.

Can you suggest me a service where i can buy some proxyes, that i can trust about my privacy promises?

Is there, around the web, a premium proxy service who can let me change my ip when i want?

Really really thanks for spending your time with me!

Haven't use it, google for the reviews.  There is also many threads about vpn providers here in EZ, so maybe search and read those.

It kind of depends what you are going to do, if all this is for some news reading and netflix watching, I think that is just fine.[emoji14]  But in general level when talked about "anonymity" ofc. it's better not to be behind your own ip at first place if possible.  But is it necessary? Like said, it depends. You have to to make some risk estimation yourself.

Maybe I remember wrong, it might have been some alternative service available for vpn users at some point. Not sure.
