We're all here to become better hackers/programmers/tech geeks and grow in a community. It's really neat seeing how far technology has come and how advanced some of you are. But we had to start somewhere!
Who or what inspired you into technology? What pitfalls have you experienced?
When I was 8 years old, 24 came out. Chloe O'Brian was my hero. Even though at the time I was interested in being a biologist (then later an artist, then back to a biologist in early high school) the whole concept of hacking really stuck with me. And I learned it as hobby, and soon saw it was a lot more complicated than on TV, but that just drove me more. The complexity makes it worth learning, and my inspiration turned from the media to life. But you never forget your roots! Pitfalls though.... Parents were always concerned with how much time I was spending on the computer. I was a very well rounded kid, but I feel I would have had a lot more success if I'd had more opportunity to practice. Now it's time to catch up for the career field!
