Everything has changed. WTF?

Hi guys,


I was a hacker in late 90's. Today something has happened to me and break my promise. Managed to lame and hack again.


First of I've checked some websites and programs finally fund this website.


As i've seen, everything's changed about hacking. Programs are different and the ways i used to use are useless. A really big change on web hack and network stuff. Aproximately 15 years has passed...


Well i guess perl isnt prefered for hacking. the usage of c#, xploiting and scripting had been evolved and improved as i see now.


I am an old guy now. And dunno where to begin. Hope you guys show me the way.


BTW I've read some of the topics. Nice web site. But not much crowded. In 90's people were really keen on hacking...

The keen on hacking has changed to people who have a real passion for it. Technology, including code, has evolved and is not for people not dedicated to hacking. There really is no more "emulating" CLI logins and such because they patched, we hacked, patched, hacked, etc... Evolution is inevitable. And Pearl is still widely used. I know a lot of Metasploits exploits are written in Pearl, and if I'm not mistaken, Metasploit originated using pearl. Python and other scripting layers came later.

MSF was originally made in Perl. Later it was completely re-written in Ruby.
About everything has changed - yeah I guess it has changed a bit since the 90's lol. Everything evolves, specially technology.

Technology changes extremely fast... I remember 2010 - Single Core smartphones now 2012 Quad Core Smartphones and Tablets. Technology innovates at such a speed its ridiculous!

You need to start from scratch. Everything has changed in the last 15 years. There is one thing that hasn't changed in the hacking world? skids are still skids
