Hacking phones via bluetooth these days

It was great during the dumbphone era as those bluetooth bugs were discovered and exploited widely, but how is it good these days? we have all those androids and iShits and other not-so-dumb phones. I think those bugs should be patched by now.
Although cracking into wireless bluetooth headset is still doable because you don't use exploits, just trick the headset into pairing with you... anyway, this video should clear stuff up:

About the bluetooth. I never had the chance to try that in older days. I did heard that it was possible to access other phones and even to "destroy" other phone. Obviusly most of these stories came from kids who didn't know what they were talking about. So I ask. What were the possible exploits in bluetooth enabled devices a few years ago and what could be some exploits in out days?

In older days there were multiple holes, it was called BlueBug and it was used in lots of tools. As I remember there even was a J2ME application for dumbphones to control other phones - I used it a few times, but it sucked.
I haven't cracked any bluetooth devices in older days, or sniffed headsets so I am not sure about all that.

In the newer days people let their cars be vulnerable (driving peacefully down the road, suddenly speakerphone turn on, "I am watching you...". As a brutal example)

About the car jacking, yes I heard that it's still possible, but like I said it's wireless bluetooth headset-like thing, so I'm not surprised it's still doable these days...

I wouldnt be surprised if you could unlock/start up the car.

I'll have to find it, but from what I can recall, OnStar works via cell towers. That means it operates off of a cell signal. Which can unlock a car.
