Interesting Books Suggestions?
« on: July 19, 2012, 05:14:21 pm »
Hey, I'm currently reading Ghost in the Wires ( http://www.amazon.com/Ghost-Wires-Adventures-Worlds-Wanted/dp/0316037702) which is an autobiography by Kevin Mitnick, and as surprised as I am that I enjoy autobiography, I do really like it. I also enjoyed reading Steve Wozniak's autobiography and was just wondering if there any other interesting books. I'm trying to get back into reading a little bit, and these stories of influential/successful people in hacking/technology are fun, though they make me incredibly jealous of how young each of them started.

Here's some good ones:
Neuromancer - William Gibson
Masters of Deception - Michele Slatalla
Hackers - Steven Levy(No, it's not related to the movie)
Just for Fun - Linus Torvalds and David Daimond

Some good reference material related to hacking in addition to skidiot.h's:
The Rootkit Arsenal
The Shellcoder's Handbook
The Web Application Hacker's Handbook
Reversing: Secrets of Reverse Engineering
Gray Hat Python

Thanks for all the suggestions, there are a lot more suggestions than I expected. I'll have to balance reading/learning with work and trying to set up my web server and some for fun programming I want to start doing. Hopefully I can get a lot done before school starts back up and I get even more busy.
