Music with lyrics distracts me. How can you listen to Eminem and code O.o? I do listen to electronic music though, trance mostly, spacemusic is also good.

printf("you better lose yourself in the music, the moment...");

Hahaha I kid the rapper.

I'm really new to hacking and shit, but I either listen to music (violins, dubstep, and Game BGMs) or have someone company me while coding a website so yeah.. I'm the type of person who's more productive when there are people around me that I can chat with;

I said earlier that I music distracts me and I don't listen to it when doing anything that requires lots of concentration. However I must note that I do listen to music when I am just browsing the news, chatting on irc, or doing something similar. If I got a very boring job to do, I usually put on some amazing "Epic" instrumental soundtrack which makes me feel much better and prevents me from dozing during working.

Therefore a crucial step to becoming a better programmer is learning how to avoid getting stuck, to recognize when you’re stuck, and to get unstuck." -Jeff Wofford
