Open source NASA
« on: September 26, 2012, 05:40:56 am »
I saw this on the "Linux Journal" open.nasa.gov

seems to be an open source programming api to help develop apps or something, not sure about the details but I love how NASA is moving to open source applications and embracing the creativity of others! :) just thought I'd share it with you guys, maybe we can make an Evilzone spaceship xD

A. their running out of government funding
B. their running out of talented programmers who want to work for them

Maybe we can make an extension for d0xbase with satellite photos xD (j/k), but daemon is right though. Why else would they make such a thing...

haha clever way of looking at it Daemon, I can see how that might be the case :P but they might just have a wonderful love for FOSS like a lot of us do too... xD if not, it is still a bunch of cool APIs that is open for the public to use for free which, whether it's for the love of FOSS or for free labor, is pretty sweet lol
