There's a way to get IP address of your slave while on skype using task manager. I don't know the exact way as i haven't done it yet. But i know it can be done.

This question is dumb. Really.
There are so many ways to get someone's IP that it makes my head spin - but all of them depend on one thing or another. Therefore tell us where do you want to acquire the IP from, MAYBE THEN we will help.

And this was asked before I think, use the search damn it.

I want to find someone's IP, by preferably not talking to them if possible. I tried whatstheirip.com but it seems to not work because I know they clicked the link, but I didn't get a message through my email.
 
Anyhow, is there anyway to get it through facebook or twitter since I assume that would be easiest for me..

 I've tried that, both in Linux and my command prompt, it doesn't work.
 
However, I did try that whatstheirip.com again, instead this time I used my gmail instead of Hotmail and it worked. But, it gave me there external IP. Is there a way I can find their internal IP by having their external one

Edit: By internal IP, I did mean mac address.. finding posts on google are confusing when some people don't know what they're talking about.

Everyone has an internal ip of 127.0.0.1 I would start there.

The reason why I am asking is because I noticed that my internet IP and when I use ipconfig are different.

@OP: Yo man, you're talking stuff, which does not make much sense. Use the search on the forum and look for some basic networking stuff, like osi or tcp/ip layers, what is ip and what is mac address etc. Remember you can ask, sure thing, but you can't expect others to help you or explain you things in depth if you don't do your homework. I'm sure that after reading some most basic stuff covering networks you'll easier understad the replys to your posts and questions here.

You could read through this and this tutorials to get a basic idea of what IP/TCP are and how basic networking works. After that you will have enough knowledge to know how to ask what you want to ask as far as IP/TCP stack is concerned. If you would like to learn more about networking you could read this book.

The reason why I am asking is because I noticed that my internet IP and when I use ipconfig are different.

That's because you're connected to the internet through a router. When you go to "whatsmyip' or a site that gives you your IP it's giving your external IP address which is what you would want  outside of the network. ipconfig doesn't show your external IP because you're NATed behind a router so it gives you an internal IP (usually something like 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x unless its been changed manually) If you connect your computer directly into your modem and run ipconfig it will give you your external IP as well.

If the person is on the same local network, log into your router and usually they will list the MAC/Internal IP/Computer name in there.

You will most always get a 192 octect on a LAN config. They are always a class C subnet, so start with the 192 bracket unless you know someone has messed with the DHCP leasing. Then in which case it will most likely fall in the 10 bracket, at least with soho networks anyway.

I also have to add, hardwiring the PC directly to the modem will still lease out classed subnets if the DHCP isn't disabled, which by default they are not; unless it is dial-up of course. You would need the modem in true bridge mode to throw the WAN IP to something connected to it in any eth ports.
