Hacking and Security / Re: Goverment's Certificate on Android?
« on: February 03, 2016, 01:08:29 pm »
I got curious about this also so I googled it and came up with this https://bluebox.com/questioning-the-chain-of-trust-investigations-into-the-root-certificates-on-mobile-devices/. From what I gathered with it is that if you were to remove or disable the certification then you have the possibility of losing SSL/HTTPS because your trust key will be unable to verify.

You could possibly throw metasploit at it. That is also depending on what firmware you have on it. Or try to get a rat to see if you can get passed the security also. Androrat is an older rat but its free if you dig for it. You can also see if the stagefright exploit is still open on your phone also. The possibilities are endless just have to do some digging

Seems that zimperium has put up an example on their website. Looks like its just running through metasploit

Had to look up what andriller was because ive never heard of it before. But i think the open source android forensics toolkit would be a good place to start. Dont know if its outdated but it was just a simple google search away.

Operating System / arch question?
« on: December 16, 2013, 01:43:25 am »
Hey guys so I'm trying to install arch on an old desktop I got from a buddy. Im following the arch beginners guide and can get all the way up to pacstrap but then get a input output error. I've searched all over Google for an answer and came up with the drive is mounting in a read only state. So I attempt to recount it in read write. But that still doesn't change any error. Have any of you guys came across this and if so how did you fix it? Or at least point me in the direction I need to be looking to fix it.
Thanks
