arch question?
« on: December 16, 2013, 01:43:25 am »
Hey guys so I'm trying to install arch on an old desktop I got from a buddy. Im following the arch beginners guide and can get all the way up to pacstrap but then get a input output error. I've searched all over Google for an answer and came up with the drive is mounting in a read only state. So I attempt to recount it in read write. But that still doesn't change any error. Have any of you guys came across this and if so how did you fix it? Or at least point me in the direction I need to be looking to fix it.
Thanks

Well if you mounted it in read only mode using the normal commands are you 100% sure that you formatted the partition? and in a common formatting like EXT3/4
