Exactly, and I think the second one would win.

Thank you so much for your help I really like the second one also.  ;D

I have a recommendations.

1. Get the first one and separate the two words "savory" and "sweet" then put the one on the left "savory" and the other to the left "sweet" of the sweet image.

2. Take the whole phrase and put it on the bottom with the same circle effect as the top phrase has.

From this two, I really don't like either one.
I hope this helps.

Kind of like this?

Or like this

Creative Arts / Which logo do you like better?

So I am designing this logo for a kettle corn company  :o  and I need some opinions on which you think is better. I tried to have a little fun with it in the second picture.

And here is the second design.

Which one do you think would be better? They are a family company that does local fairs and events and they want it to be a fun design. To be honest I think my first one may be a little to plain.

To be completely honest, I know this is supposed to be a camera lens because you stated it was, but when I first look at this, the concept of camera is not clear to me. You're typography and the rest of your designs are solid, but I think the emblem needs some work.

For instance when I look at a camera lens straight on, I see something like this:

http://www.adventfilmmakers.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Sepia-Lens.jpg
or
http://nanobitwallpaper.com/wp-content/uploads/camera-lens-logo-png.jpg

And when I look at yours I can't seem to easily draw the connections, I think it may deal with how you're representing light on the top right hand corner than really throws it off for me (not a proper representation of how light works on a cylindrical object.) at the same time I understand why you used that for accent...

Very helpful advice. The emblem that I designed was meant to represent a lens because it was based off of a lens but I also needed to add a futuristic aspect to the design and I did this by trying to play with the shape. The shape even though it doesn't actually represent a camera lens, subliminally it is meant to do so. I may redo the logo portion to maybe make it look more like a camera lens.

Also with the colors there is a method to my madness and I followed colour theory when deciding what colors to actually use based on the brief I received for the project.

I appreciate the helpful advice and I will probably revamp the original emblem logo.

I recently designed this logo for a camera hat product that a company came out with. He said to make it clean neat and something modern. I also wanted the emblem to relate to the company so I made a neat emblem that you may associate the emblem with a camera lens. Also I came up with five different designs.

Tell me what you think and please share any constructive criticism. Thanks for your help!

This is my emblem.

These are the designs

For what purpose? there are few different fonts for different situations :(

Any purpose you want. Just name your favorite font font for that specific situation you're thinking of.

Very nice selection.

It's all about Source Sans Pro. It has this professional vibe with a PDF friendly look.

I must say I do agree with you there.

Also (just putting this out there) the standard font for anyone writing movie scripts is courier and if you don't use this font and you're a screenwriter you might as well have just thrown the script in the garbage because that's what is going to happen when you submit it. The film industry can be rough so you have to play the game to their standards.

[size=78%]Good job, one small tip, use vectors (if you already haven't), you can see a bit of rasterisation on D's.

I took a screenshot of it in use cause I didn't have the file on my computer. The actual file is a vector graphic and is better. Thanks for the tip though.
