Anonymity and Privacy / Re: Very known OSs vs Lesser know OSs
« on: February 18, 2016, 01:06:41 pm »
The known ones. If something is popular, then most likely a good deal of people using it, which makes it hard for governments to sort through the data, even if they have a back door. That is also why I think people should use tor, I know it is unsafe, but if everyone starts to use it, then governments will have a hard time sorting through it. Like a needle in the haystack.

Game Hacking, Modding & Discussing / Re: Hacking a gambling website?
« on: February 02, 2016, 03:34:11 am »
Hello everyone.
So I was thinking (and trying myself) about hacking gambling websites. The website uses websocket between user browser and server. The website I'm talking about is www.csgodouble.com (it's a roulette which rolls a number 0-14. From my research, the server uses a secret hash to encrypt the rolls. Is it even possible to hack and guess the correct roll number? Or, would someone do it for 100-150$?
Thanks

That seems like it would be to much work. It would be easier to see if you can guess the next number on csgo betting websites that use predictable random numbers. I have heard of people who can win csgo jackpot everytime: http://jonasnick.github.io/blog/2015/07/08/exploiting-csgojackpots-weak-rng/

Hacking and Security / Re: Where to get started?

First thing you need to do, is create an intro. Second thing, is to not download Kali and instead work on learning networking protocols: udp, tcp, http, ssl. Work on programming: Object Oriented, Event Oriented, Scripting Languages. Work on reverse engineering and electrical(I do not know much on this so you will just have to look it up yourself) Do not just use some skid tools without any actual framework, because you will never go far, and you will not use the tools to their full ability. I highly advise against running Kali, and instead recommend using Ubuntu or Arch. Please do not just become a fucking faggot who thinks they know everything just because they programmed  c++ to say Hello World. Actually invest time into setting up a foundation of learning before you even attempt to try to carry out an attack, or use someone else's tools.

And where's your quality? Hrm I can't seem to find any...

I see your point, but it does not disprove mine at all. Maybe I am not the right messenger, because I have 0 reputation here, but I just had to get something off my chest. Regardless of my faggotry, my point still stands.

I think the quality is pretty good. It s a no nonsese moderating system. I mean. If you ask something you can google, this will be said. The more 'difficult' things are discussed. For me, this is the only forum I like to follow. It may be bullshit or bad quality for you, but I already learned a lot with just reading the topics.
I enjoy this forum to, but I just do not see the quality getting any better.

No drastic action needs to be taken.

Poor or random posts are dealt with or not counted.

The karma system is good.

The test is suitable for all skill levels.
Not really. There is a large amount of new intros. There is a lot of dead user accounts. There is a lot of shit posts. Not drastic measure. Just measures against the watering down of the community. It does not make sense for a website to say they value quality over quantity if we have a good deal of lechers and shit posters more so than actual good content. I refuse to accept your standards greycat.

Maybe accounts should be review before they are given access to certain boards. Maybe they should have to pass a harder test to create an account. There are many options you guys can take, but system is not okay in the state it is now.  I do not feel like this community will survive if we allow quantity to take over quality. So in short, What action is going to be taken?

I enjoyed season 1. What do you think anonymous content is all about?
Damn Anonymous content produced a lot of Charlie Kauman(My favorite Director). I still however do not think a tv show can ever be good, or as good as a movie, because of how much time needs to be filled. For example a movie will be at most 4 hours, Mr. Robot's first season is 7 hours and 10 minutes. With that many hours to fill for one season, the show has to fill time some how. Also with a tv show, you see a lot of writers writing a season at a time, this can create plot holes, or inconsistencies between characters. Not to mention how a tv show often loses writers and actors due to commitments or other gigs, forcing the characters to be killed off prematurely.
Whatever. I just had that thought after reading through my comment again. To be honest I have watched a lot of tv shows, and movies. I just have not seen a single good tv show, that does not use a framework or cliche style. What I mean by that is how in Southpark or Star Trek, two shows I enjoy, they have a set structure, every episode the town in southpark and the crew in star trek, go experience a problem. And by the end of the episode the fix the problem. This does not allow for much character devolopment, or advanced plot. Though I have to admit they are both tv shows I enjoy, just not what I would consider good tv. I would rather watch a movie to be honest.

I think you got a kinda Hollywood Niilism. I really don't see this "pretty bad acting" much less "bleh cinematography" you refer. About the plot, ok, each one with yours opinion...

About these Pixar rave reviews... they are considering that what they are reviewing is an animation, cartoon, and "woow its really nice for a cartoon", maybe realy nice for what they propose to do/show/teach. Mostly I think that's the point.

"there will never be a good tv show" and there it is, the niilism, the prejudice. (be careful)

Well, finally, I respect that you don't like the show, but technically, I really think it is well made - and that is what they say... 1 point less for using the Argumentum ad verecundiam hahaha

Anyways, thank you for expose your opinion, rly matters for me  ;D
I usually would not be this cynical. But when you decide to post one long post jerking off the show Mr. Robot. It makes me want to tear out your eyes from their sockets. See there is not such a thing as "Hollywood nihilism " it is simply me giving a critical analysis of the Hollywood circlejek. Also pixar sucks dick, and the only reason people like them is because they have the excuse of being children's movies. Also what was that about  thanking me for "expose opinion"? Could you clarify?

Mr. Robot is overrated in my opinion. Mediocre plot, pretty bad acting, and the cinematography is bleh. Whatever. Who cares if it is realistic, if it is a bad tv show. Also critics mean shit. Look at almost any pixar movie, it is given rave reviews by critics, even though they are okay at best. IMO there will never be a good tv show, because of the format they are forced into. If a tv show is not good it will not survive. However if a tv show is good, it will go on forever until it is destroyed. For example: Soutpark, The Office, Lost, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Dexter etc.

be humane, adopt one from the streets.
There is a lot of cats without homes. Go to the pound or an animal shelter in your area and get a cat. I love pussies so much :)
