General discussion / Re: What book are you reading? [Mine]
« on: June 09, 2012, 11:46:48 pm »
Its called "The Dictators" its a very in depth comparison of Hitler and Stalin and how they got and eventually abused their power. I'm a history buff. :)

But starting this week I'm going to the library in the hopes of finding some books on programming. Hopefully I can find something not to outdated or advanced.

If you want to build muscle you should really try to create a workout plan that fits your lifestyle, the whole commercial idea is really just a good way to get up off the couch and get motivated. Just don't over do it. Well best of luck to everyone.

From personal experience this is what I did....... I watched a lot of tv so I designed a program around that. Every time a commercial came on I would do my sets of exercises. This included pushups, situps, mountain climbs, planks and sometimes squat thrusts. It worked well, I lost some weight and felt better about watching tv :) . Just start small, you can do it if you really want to.

Id say linux, but thats just me, since linux is open source they have a lot of great communities that will help learn all about how a comp works, and what you need to know.

Thanks, for the third question this is what I meant.

When I reboot my computer I press f12 to go to the boot menu.
Once there I choose my usb drive, then it brings up a menu of which file to boot from.
Do I boot from the one called default or persistence? Im guessing persistence, but I do not know for sure

Operating System / Backtrack 5 persistent install questions
« on: June 06, 2012, 11:54:22 pm »
Well here I am 3 days later. I have been attempting to install backtrack 5 r2 as onto a persistent usb so that I can save things. I have tried many times, and gotten black screen errors, deleting loop errors, and persistent errors. I need some help. I have a couple of questions.

1 What is the best program to install the iso onto my flashdrive?
2 What are the ideal settings when running the program.
3 Once installed which file do I boot from? default or persistent, or other
4 Once booted is there something I have to do to to make sure it saves what I have done or does it automatically.

Any help will be appreciated.
