Firefox customization
« on: July 05, 2013, 02:22:57 am »
It seems most of you use Firefox from what I've seen in the desktop thread and I'd like to know if you have some custom styles or scripts that you find useful. I'll start first.

I used to have bookmarks, search bars and whatnot all over the place and decided to clean up a bit.
The two things bothering me the most are marked. I want to get rid of the border around the icons in the navbar when hovered over and the dropdown menu arrow button is also fucked from the style used for the scrollbar. If anyone knows how to fix that I'll be forever grateful. I'm not even sure there is a separate identity for the menu arrow button, DOM Inspector is just confusing. The hardest part was finding the names of favicons in pinned tabs, the little globe and padlock icon to the left of the url and styling them to achieve what I wanted. Also centering the urlbar container vertically when an odd value for the height of the urlbar is used.

The look is achieved with the glorious 'throw shit at the wall and see what sticks' method, so don't be harsh  8) . If anyone's interested I'll be glad to answer any questions regarding the CSS, scripts, addons and such.
Also, I don't know why I haven't used keyboard shortcuts for Firefox before, they're super useful. Any criticism is welcome. So, whatcha think?

Vimperator is one of the snazziest and most useful extensions I've come across so far. Especially if you're a *nix geek.

Just brushing though. I will be semi active mainly came to find a HQ botnet, like THOR or just any p2p botnet

I've never used Vim before so for the time being I'm sticking to the browser's default keybinds, although I've heard great things about it despite the learning curve.
