A female friend of mine gets stalked!
« on: July 14, 2013, 04:34:19 am »
Hey evilzone community,
i have got a problem...:
a friend of mine (female) gets phone calls of a stranger (the phone number is shown on the device).
Is there a possibility to get the name of this stranger just by his phone number?

Yep, trace teh IP with a GUI made in Visual Basic.

Seriously, I'd:
1) Ask who is calling me and why.
2) Change my number.
3) Call the police.
4) Block the caller's number.

You could try to Google the number, but only a true retard would make their "stalking number" public.

My recommendation: Call the police, it's simple and won't get you in trouble.

Have to go with Fur here, never know how deranged the person may be. A number of services out their can tell you who owns that number IF it isnt being done over voip. for that it can be much harder.

still my first suggestion would be the 5 O.
The internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Ahh, EvilZone.  Where networking certification meets avian fecal matter & all is explained, for better or worse.

I don't know about you OP, but I think telecom companies have a service to report such things. Call the customer services and ask about it, if they don't have anything like this, just call the police. Furthermore, assuming you got the name of this stalker, what the hell are you going to do? play Hulk Hogan on him!

It is a bit complicate i actually think it is a old friend of mine. The problem is she only gets naughty texts from this girl (my ex!!!). Thats the reason why I don't want to involve the police at the beginning.
I would like to confront her first, and therefore I must know if she is the stalker.

If she has a smartphone, just install a call blocker and block the number from calling and texts. I don't see a big problem here.

Calling the police might be a better idea if the calling retard is serious enough about kidnapping, but one may never know...

Do what I do, threaten and harass the stalker in return. Then block him. If you don't know how to, call your SIM provider and ask them to. And if there are death threats or any other threats involved, call the police. Threats are illegal.

call the police

OR you could be the hero in front of your "lady friend" and solve the problem by yourself. (Be the knight in shining armor, so to speak.)

Of course, that might not seem like such a good idea once you're lying in a roadside ditch with no recollection of what happened after you tried to face the guy 1v1...

Judging by your text Raavgo, your atitude changed in an instant, either, you are not telling the truth, or you are overly happy/confused.

Hmm...

You're right!

Maybe the actual stalker is holding him hostage somehow, and forcing him to write this...

Most cellular networks have blocking services free of charge. With Verizon you can block up to 5 numbers from calling or texting. You can change your number for free as many times as you want too.

if the stalker is your ex....then she is really retarded, I would simply tell her to f**** off and block her.

btw, when you have your number blocked, what does it happen?.... busy...or you get a recording voice saying something like the number cant receive calls at the moment??

The reason why my attitude changed is that my friend found out that the stalker is my ex girlfriend, my friend doesn't want me to do something stupid and for that reason she told me to stop worrying about her stalker.
