First Real-world Digital Forensics Game

Mark Lane's Logs: Project H.U.M.A.N. redefines the way you play a game. It does not run on software. There's no traditional App or software you need to download and run to play. This game runs on evidence, on your brain. A SMS message from Mark Lane is all you start with. From there, you'll have to replicate his mission, find what he found, and live the adventure he lived. You're on your own. All you have is your own device. You must set your methods, your pace, your tools.

Sounds amazing, did I read this right? to start a game you send an SMS message and you received tips and whatnot...

This is certainly a interesting twist on an old concept. looks fun.
The internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.

Ahh, EvilZone.  Where networking certification meets avian fecal matter & all is explained, for better or worse.

<Phage> I used an entrence I never use

The sounds awesome, I will definitely try it when it launches, it's a shame that it's just for Apple devices luckely I have an Iphone lying around here somewhere. Thanks for the tip!
Chuck: I can't believe you bugged my room! That's terrible!
Casey: No, terrible is having to listen to you and that moron Morgan yammer on for FOUR HOURS about what sandwich you would bring if you were stranded on an island!

Because there is no game software to run, there are no system requirements

You are right, the line after that gives the impression they mean any apple system but this is not the case, a quote from the dev to make things clear:

Developer here: The game is an Alternate Reality Game. It doesn't need specific software. You can play on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS.

Yeah, the concept itself isn't new, but it's still very underground.

These types of games have been getting more popular during the last decade. My guess is this is going to involve lots of geocaching and stuff like that.

I assume the guy has included some amusing twists in it, though.
