Pretty sure facebook and co don't have and will never have that in their API...
It would be too easy to leave, with lots of programs providing one-click account deletion. And they don't want you to leave. For example, I didn't even know (like lots of people on the webz, just google "facebook account deletion") that you can delete your account on facebook. In the settings there's just a link for temporary account deactivation.

Edit:
Just googled it, there are some links now, but last time I googled it I couldn't find anything, and that wasn't that long ago...
