I've tried that, it can only handle a "low network" of people. I have tried it at a college with a network of 1,500 people on it and it only "Supposedly" killed 27 people.

That WiFi kill app, needs improvement majorly.
too much cpu torture. I guess that is where the s4's octa-core comes in use.

Do you got a cool story you would like to share bro?

Well, I just discovered there is no jailbreak for an iPhone 5 running the iOS version that I am currently using. So....

Looks like I AM just going to be using a useless piece of crap after all. Fucking bummer.

I was born in Hawaii, but I don't have a birth certificate.

My SSN is 666-666-6666.

I live at:

420 Hack Forums Hotel
10 Havij Blvd.
Bldg. A, Room 23D
Leetexploitville, CA
I got where you're from, just from this. It's not Hawaii. Hint: Havij Blvd was the dead give away.

Enjoy it man, is a great gift, do not know if your mom has any receipt or paper from where she bought it that gives you/her the right to replace it with something else.

since im assuming it has a warranty, i suggest infecting it with as much nasty shit as you can find then bringing it to the store to get "repaired".

alternatively you could bring it while nothing is wrong and act like you dont understand how to operate a phone, see how many hours you can waste by being really "slow" to grasp how the device works.

If you have insurance on it for water damage you could use it as a fishing lure and see how long it floats(for science!)

use it as a hoax: make a app for it that allows it to communicate its GPS/gyroscope data to a R/C Airplane painted up to look like a iDevice called the iPlane with it attached/recording video and record it flying around with a different camera and talk about how apple has spy drones.

oh note on that one, be careful some places it is illegal to attach a GPS/gyroscope to a R/C device like a plane or helicopter. One of the FEW smart moves made by the gov here in the US...ofc you can still get all the parts to do it off the shelf with virtually no monitoring done. Right idea, bad execution. but meh still should be noted that not all places is such a thing legal.

Oooh infecting it might be fun. Or maybe smashing it.

So far all I've done with it is download a shitty SSH app and another app that scans the local network I'm on and lists devices. Unfortunately I can't jailbreak it because there is evidentally no jailbreak for an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4.

Can't get the SSH app to copy the key to my server either.

Man that had me laughing a lot.

As for the phone, I would personally have explained to my Mom that while I appreciated the gesture, that is not the phone that I would like, and is overkill for what you needed. Especially since you said you don't know how she is affording it. Again, this is what I would have done, I am not saying you did the wrong thing or something like that. Since it seems like you are going to hang onto it, I would just say don't expect much from it and it won't be able to let you down.

I honestly love the idea of smartphones and I love my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy SII), but I'm not one of those people constantly staring at either. I was in the same situation as you though, only I had a choice on which smartphone I got. My mom wanted to change her service plan, but it was so expensive that she might as well have a smartphone on the plan to make it worthwhile (3 regular phones = $95/month; 2 regular phones + 1 smartphone = $105/month), and so she took me along and told me to pick one out. Of course I completely avoided the iPhone, and I played with the others and liked the SII the best and forced mom to let me help pay for it (the phone with contract was ~$200).

Well, I figured out it was my damn stepdad who convinced her to do it. So of course there is just NO WAY that anyone could not absolutely love an iPhone. If only they hadn't made it a surprise...

Because now it's too late. I've already told her that I liked it because I didn't want to hurt her feelings.
