Hotfile, one of the worlds largest file lockers has been ordered to cease operations if they can’t prevent future copyright infringement. On Tuesday, the Southern District Court of the United States ruled that HotFile was guilty of copyright infringement while issuing them an $80,000,000 dollar fine and ordering them to cease operations unless they employ copyright filtering technologies that prevent infringement of the studios’ works.
