"Final Fantasy VII" mini-review

Quote from: en.wikipedia.org
Final Fantasy VII, is a role-playing video game developed by Square (now Square Enix) as the seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series. It was release in 1997 for the Sony Playstation, in 1998 for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers, in 2009 on the Playstation Network, in 2012 on PC Digital Download, and in 2013 on Steam. The game is the first in the series to use 3D computer graphics, featuring fully rendered characters on pre-rendered backgrounds, and was the first game in the main series to be release in Europe.

My Input:
This is hands down one of my favorite games. The plot is extremely captivating, and dynamic. Everything about this game is epic: the characters, the weapons, the UI, the battles, the landscape...everything! Many people have said this game is very challenging, and it is if you've never played a Final Fantasy game before; however, there are many areas in the game where leveling up is a cinch. There are many side-quests, and extras to do if you find the regular storyline to be too boring or too difficult.

Although it is difficult to get your hands on a hard-copy of the game these days, there are plenty of sources to download and run FF7 on a computer-based playstation emulator (I use this method to play).

finding/buying FF7 is not very hard, you will find multiple copies of it on sale at ebay, though depending on what type of it you want it may end up costing as much as a new game would(50-60$). As well it can be gotten as a stand alone game for PC which has recently(past few years) been re released with added in game achievments(nothing to brag about here, seriously). As well it can be purchased/dl'ed for the PSP. That being said i prefer the PS1 version best and it can be easily found all over as an iso.

Anyway as far as RPG's go its definitely my second favorite, and well well worth a play through or 5. One of these days ill sit down and do a full complete of it(all items to 99 that you can get to 99, all master materia/sidequests done, all characters unlocked and lvl 99...etc.) it will take a bit of time but should be good fun to distract me from time to time on the side over a period of years.
