"Mafia 2" mini-review
« on: January 15, 2014, 08:50:06 pm »

The game is set in the late 1940s - early 1950s era of Empire Bay, a fictional city based on New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Detroit. There are 30-40 vehicles in the game (45 with downloadable content) as well as licensed music from the era.

My input:

This game is by far the best game about a mafia family yet. All others that I played, like Mafia 1, The godfather (was actually pretty nice but once you completed the story, you were not allowed back into the game as free roam), The godfather 2 (what an utter shit!).
This game tops it all off - great music, cars, physics, choice of guns, human body motion, graphics... and of course... the story.
The story was so deep, twisted and awesome that it had me sucked in for hours. The very ending of the game was VERY unexpected and I nearly cried (seriously). Shit was intense.
I truly recommend this game, play it!

The first one was fucking awesome, will definitely be giving this a play.

EDIT: I wasn't happy when I completed the first one because I enjoyed it so much!

I remember playing this when it released. It has a decent story to it, but there definitely needs to be more prohibition era games out there.
It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.
