Noob URL Training
« on: February 22, 2014, 12:47:00 am »
Swim is new to the game and had a noob-esk question and was hoping for some info and ideally an answer. Let's say one had a site cloner set up and the return server is set up as their external IP. They have the site working properly but the negative aspect is that when one uses goo.gl to change his/her external IP into a alpha character URL, after the user clicks it in the address bar the return server IP still appears. This is unsettling. Is there any way to create a link that would be better for hiding the external IP from appearing so obviously?

Is that like a rewrite? I'm noob status man, not familiar with what an introduction is.

Oh my god, priceless.

In the member introduction board here on evilzone. Introduce yourself to the community before just asking questions.

This is a community, not a Q&A site.

Now that you've posted an introduction I'll be happy to give you an answer.

It doesn't matter. You would still be able to get the IP address either through wireshark, traceroute or maybe even a ping. This would make it pointless. However you want a link masker and not a link shortener.

Hope that helps.

On another note, why not put your phisher on a free webhost. You wont want to host it from home as once it gets reported (and trust me it will) you will get a not so friendly responce from your ISP. Remember that phishing is illegal and ISPs wont take very kindly to it.
