Although this isn't security related, but I wanted to share in case you don't know. Phoneblocks was a startup that got a lot of scrutiny and engineers said it was impossible, however now the project is Google backed and it may just come into reality.
What is Project AraProject Ara aka Phoneblocks is a modular phone that the end user can buy a base and third party developers can build modules such as camera, battery, LTE radios, sensors, etc. An analogy I came up with is look at it like this, your current android phone is like a laptop, there's not much you can do to upgrade it especially hardware wise (Ram, Processor, Camera, etc) where as Project Ara is like a desktop where you can buy a base (like a computer case) and then pick all of your internals. I don't know about you but seeing as this can be a reality by the end of the year it kind of makes me cream myself.
