Noob needs help! :)
« on: March 24, 2014, 09:33:44 pm »
 :) Hi everyone,

I introduced myself before in the member intro section of your site.

As I said before, I am very new to hacking. I have worked on linux machines for many years before getting into hacking.  My understanding of the command prompt in Ubuntu for example was limited. I found a an application to crack passwords on a popular website but I do not know how to use a python app or how to move around in the command prompt.

If someone knows of a good tutorial for noobs please post it here!

thanks!

Search around. There's plenty of tuts and ebooks here.

This is something you should be capable of handling on your own. This world is all about self teaching, if you can't find your own resources, you're going to have a hard time.

"Ruby devs do, in fact, get all the girls. No girl wants a python, but EVERY girl wants rubies" - connection

"It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter’s Law."

He's blind man, give him a minute. Only fully digitalized books can be braille converted. And the search button is not yet braille safe.

http://www.tutorialspoint.com/python/python_pdf_version.htm : Python tutorial
After learning python or for the same process you can visit this page : http://www.codecademy.com/
It offers an online stimulator for python , ruby etc..

http://linuxcommand.org/ : For linux terminal Commands
http://linuxtutorial.todolistme.net/ : Same as above

I'm really sad the way experienced programmers talk with noobs out there. :'-(
But still this was just a work of google took less than 5 min for me
@VERYinterested Google is a hackers best friend. Before asking just google it first.
And believe me instead of being a script kiddie and using applications that someone else made making your own stuff gives you much more possibilities.

Best of luck in learning python .I would suggest that you take a course on c++ after this it is an awesome language believe me :* .

First of all. Codeacademy sucks and doesn't teach you anything. Second:
I'm really sad the way experienced programmers talk with noobs out there.
God what is it with you people. You said yourself that it took you five minutes to find those resources. Woulda taken him five minutes too most likely if he had bothered. What you people don't realize is that we are totally willing to help noobs, but they have to be willing to put in a little work.

I don't understand why that's so fucking difficult to grasp.
