[TUT] Using Freedom for hacking apps
« on: May 28, 2014, 01:27:09 pm »
Hii  everyone. This is my first post. I will make a tutorial about an app called "Freedom" Get it here: http://upload.evilzone.org/download.php?id=4722408&type=zip

Disclaimer:- This app needs root permissions(for all the phones) and s-off as well(for htc phones). Use it at your own risk!

It is an app for making free In-app Purchases(IAP). It makes a fake payment from the google wallet(or at least that's what it shows us) and gives us our desired thing from that particular app. NOT for buying apps from play-store. That is a different stuff.(Although you can download paid apps for free from an app store called "Blackmart Alpha". Google around and find it..) Let me show you an example. First go ahead and download the app fom the link above and unzip it or get it from the official site here: http://www.system.in-appstore.com/freedom , and install it.

I will use freedom on the game temple run to buy coins. You need to be connected to internet to use this.

1) Launch the app. Allow superuser permission. You'll see a list of apps..all that contain in-app purchases.(not all can be hacked)

2) Press the Menu button and tap "start" to start freedom or just launch any app rightaway..and it will start automatically. Here, i will choose temple run. On a successful start you will see a notification in the notification bar with just Freedom written..and when you choose an app it displays a random text like "Dancing with Bears. Please Wait." It might take some time to load.(depending on RAM maybe? not sure.)

3) After the game has launched, go to its store where you want to buy the coins. Go ahead and choose whatever purchase you want to make.

4) While making the purchase, your payment method will be shown as "Freecard - xxxx" (xxxx is a random number that will appear). That means freedom is successfully running.  So purchase the item and you won't even lose a penny.

5) It may or may not ask you to type your Google Password. If it does go ahead and type it. Nothing to worry about.

6) There you go with your purchase.. Buy as much as you want. :)

The other cool feature of this app is the "Offline License Verification". Yes you got that right. It verifies the license of those paid apps that needs google license which you will not be having unless you bought that app from play-store..
Just enable the offline license verification from the settings of freedom and then choose the app which needs a license verification(and you didn't buy it). Freedom will launch the app and verify the license and then you can use the app. (But there is another app which does it in a better way "Lucky Patcher". I will make a tutorial for it next)

Another thing that you find in this app is Freecore. Freecore is a special patch of the system library that can help to hack some applications. This makes the RSA-signature always return true but it is insecure so it is recommended to disable Freecore after using it. Still i need more info about that one....

Note:-

~ It works for games as well as  many applications(not all). Try out all the apps you can. There used to be an in-app store index doc containing all the compatible apps but it is a dead link now. So you have to try apps on your own.
~ It does not and will not work for online games..(too bad :( )
~ If you see your original credit/debit/whatever card details instead of "Freecard", it means freedom is not working. Either you did not launch it correctly or that given app is not vulnerable to freedom hacking.
~ Be sure to stop freedom after using it(similar to starting it).
~ MOST IMP: If you ever wish to uninstall freedom, always stop it before uninstalling it! otherwise you will face connection errors while opening Google Play Store even if you are connected to the fastest internet on the world..!!
~ Freedom receives OTA updates whenever a new version is released. The latest version currently is 1.0.6.
~ The official site says you need all the google apps installed for freedom to work..But it works just fine for me even without Gmail and Gtalk.

If you don't understand anything. Feel free to ask. :)

Next tutorial:- Lucky Patcher ;)

Update:- For "No Connection" Error on Play Store,
to fix it, you can either reinstall freedom and then make sure you uninstall it after stopping it., OR you can go to system-->etc--> and delete the hosts file and reboot..OR you can edit hosts as a text file, delete everything in it and just paste "127.0.0.1 localhost"..(without quotes)

Update 2:
What is freecore?
> It's the equivalent to Lucky Patcher's patching to Android or the "core.jar" of your device. In which you patch the devices core to give a desired effect. Basically what it does in Freedom is it makes all apps started in the device which feature "in app purchases" to be processed through Freedom without the need of launching them in the Freedom app first. Basically you won't need to go in to the Freedom app to launch apps to gain the free purchases option. However if Lucky Patcher is currently hijacking the purchases instead of freedom. Disable the In app purchases in Lucky Patcher.

You forgot to mention that you need to change your market to the Russian one or change your timezone to Moscow GMT +4:00 (haven't tested this method personally) in order to get this to work. You can change your market with an app like market unlocker to get the job done. But hey maybe I'm wrong and they finally made it to where you don't need to do that but that's just what I've always done. Also about the freecore option this is the best explanation I found after doing a quick google search: "Freecore is a special patch of the system library that can help to hack some applications. This makes the RSA-signature always return true but it is insecure so it is recommended to disable Freecore after using it."
Other than that I thought it was a decent tutorial so I'll give you a cookie for contributing ;)

No worries..you can always bump old threads if it is important :)

Yes that error thingy with the hosts file would occur if you uninstall freedom without stopping it.
In the "notes" i have mentioned it. Don't know why that happens...but to fix it, you can either reinstall freedom and then make sure you uninstall it after stopping it., OR you can go to system-->etc--> and delete the hosts file and reboot..OR you can edit hosts as a text file, delete everything in it and just paste "127.0.0.1 localhost"..(without quotes)

Hello i am new here,
Is it true that freedom does not work on android 5.0.X Lollipop ?
If so, is there any way to let it work ?

Pardon me.. Didn't quite understand what you are saying..

Nope it doesn't. Freedom, SB Game Hacker, Game Killer, GameCIH, GameGuardian, DaxAtk.. None of these work on lollipop. Go for lucky patcher.. It might help you on some apps.
is this works on clash of clans too?
Uh.. Do you know clash of clans stores its data on a server? Heard of online games? If you ask that again, i will have to say you need to kidnap the game developer and make him do your changes on his server..good luck.

So to your question, no it does not work on clash of clans.

OP updated with more information about freecore.
