Yeah it's basic but I find it suprising just how many people don't know this and just blindly assume one platform is better is better than another platform with no evidence to back up their claim (kinda like fanboyism).

I stopped taking 99% people serious when it comes to computers.
Today I had a good laugh where some moron posted a comment on some ISP that had problems.
He was all like; yah this always happens to me... my second computer looses internet connection .. these idiots dont even know how to bla bla bla.
Or
Yeah my streams and games are soo slow, FIX THE SPEED PROVIDERX

My point being that we live in an age where everyone is suddenly a computer expert.

i think one of my favorites(its happened more than once) is when you see i cant log in/remember password etc on a windows box. see 30 posts from "experts" giving either A insane work arounds, or B something that will never work anyway. Always love to pop in and just go "ERD disk". watch 30 "experts" facepalm.

or...just in general tech support, latest one was needed a new wireless router/modem for home because the one we were using was dropping packets intermittently. So i call tech support...get the normal BS(reset it, check connections etc)...yes ive done all that i need a new router the wireless is failing...uhhh are you sure? yes. Uhhh i dont think thats it. It is, just send me a new one. (5 more minutes of this....) ok were sending you a new router. Lo and behold not one dropped packet in over a month. its MAGIC.

Is anyone going to mention that macs are PCs? Like there is no fucking difference except one has a shiny case and some hardware stuffed in there by apple and their operating system. Windows and Mac OSX are just operating systems and they are both (generally) run on Personal Computers.
