Lock picking.

Is anyone else into this? I just picked up my first set of picks and picked my first lock, today.

I think I'm hooked. :P

Been doing some picking with home-made stuff. Getting some good picks soon tho. Picked a few locks ;) The first one is always epic.

I have a pick set also :P picked the padlock when I got it with the diamond pick... can't seem to pick it now lol, although I did it several times. Trying to open neighbors garage now lol, because he's never at home...

I used to play around a bit with it.
Know some of the techniques and how different picks should be used but i havnt picked a lock in ages (had a shoebox filled with locks that i practiced on) threw everything out when i was cleaning the room but i suppose i could still do it  :-\

Got a set aswel, can pick some pretty solid padlocks and almost all shtty cheap ass locks

I tried but failed because I was using paperclips instead of a pick set. I should go again, I'm probably just not trying hard enough. My friend locked his safe key inside his safe and had to open it with paperclips, lol.

Any suggestions on a set? The reviews of cheap ones always say they're flimsy so I'm considering the hacksaw blade mod.

I'm using this set right now and it seems good enough for a beginner.

My next step is to buy some more locks... I started with a cheap drugstore Masterlock knock-off and it's easy as fuck to unlock.

I've got a set of picks myself, they were relatively cheap ones though which means I can only pick certain types of locks (otherwise they bend). The only use I get out of mine is when I need to re-start the router because it's behind locked doors.

If the picks bend then you are doing it wrong
Theres barely any tension put on the pics (except for the turning thing ofc)
