Starting off
« on: August 05, 2014, 07:50:30 am »
I know you have to have years of xp to become an elite but which would you do, college, certifications, or both? If college is one of your choices which major would you pick?
I know with hacking you will forever be learning and there will always be someone better than you. Everyone is a noob. I'm currently going for certifications and I keep getting urged to go to college; (I actually don't even know what I want to major in for the 3rd time) but really all I want to do is keep learning about hacking (Hacking is love, hacking is life.) and colleges don't really go over things like that.
It's not there to teach you the practical things. I'm just trying to filter out the bs on the internet about college, certs, and hacking.

If you give some tool to a hacker, he will first set it apart, see how it works and bring it back to original state. Learn, explore, Be curious and question everything.

Nobody shows off what certificates or diplomas they have, in this world. You don't post your resumé here.
Bear in mind, most of the people here are smarter than their teachers and professors.
What you truly learn, is what you find and understand yourself. Not something that's forced upon you and you just learn as much as it takes to pass a test.

The problem with being a smart motherfucker is that sometimes the stupid motherfuckers think you're a crazy motherfucker.

Word Elite means "Chose one" , or basicly people that are chosen as better then others in something. Also, there is no guide : "How to become or be hacker" . Because it's not job, it's just word that describe person with high knowledge of comuters and systems. I would say geek for computers, that's what hacker is. What you wanna do is to learn some programming language, or get into college for IT, and there learn some programming language. As time pass, you will be more into this and only then, when you know language, when you know how stuff work, you will be able to be artist - hacker. That's all what it is. Know something, and you will be able to use it in ways that thing can be used. There is a saying that if you give some tool to a hacker, he will first set it apart, see how it works and bring it back to original state. Soo, if you want to be hacker, learn, explore, be curious about everything, and always question.
